Car Auctions

There are over 80 car auctions (wholesale markets) in Japan, where over 200,000 cars (including trucks and buses) are sold every week. When a car owner buys a new car, he trades in with his old car to a car dealer; then the car will be sold in the auction. There are many advantages of buying cars from auction then from stock.

• Reliable information:
Before auctioning, all cars are inspected and graded accordingly by qualified engineers. All details are shown on the auction sheet (model, equipment, grade, mileage, repair history, scratches, date of inspection and registration, repair to be done if any etc). Stock dealers usually manipulate this information and hide the bad points of the car for quick sale. They also modify the mileage among other things.

• Cheaper prices.
In comparison to genuine stocks, cars coming directly from the auctions sell cheaper. Keeping stocks involves extra costs such as storage, security and administration costs. Cheap stocks happen to be units in bad condition, even though the photos may look very attractive to the buyer.

• Variety of choices:
Large auction volumes give you a chance to get the best unit within your budget. You can choose from color, mileage, equipment etc. Auction cars range from cheap to expensive cars, depending on model, grade, year of manufacture, supply and demand etc.

To avoid regrets and frustrations, we highly recommend you to get cars directly from the main source (auctions); don’t rush to make a choice by just looking at the photos of stocks that in most cases don’t happen to exist.
